I’m a social worker, therapist and writer in Kingston, Ontario. I write serious self-help books (practical help when you need it), and innovative fiction, including The Death in Sioux Lookout Trilogy, Dreams and Sioux Nights, The Love Duology, Social Work for Fun and Profit, Tony Price: Confidential, and Herkimer’s Nose.
My Emotional Recovery from… series includes two books on workplace mobbing, and one each on Congenital Heart Disease, troubled families, troubled children, adultery, marital separation, and situational anxiety.
I’ve been shortlisted twice for the International Three Day Novel Contest and in 2016 won the Outstanding Book Award (self-help) from the Independent Author Network for Emotional Recovery from Congenital Heart Disease.
I served ten years with OAPSW Newsmagazine, two years on the Community Editorial Board of the Kingston Whig-Standard and in 2007 was second runner up for Comedian Idol of Kingston. I’ve been married thirty-six years, have two adult children and two grandchildren. My daughter thinks I’m funny (ha ha) but only when I’m not trying.
